XMJ wall printer has two kinds of inks for customers to choose, one is uv ink, another is latex ink. UV ink develops rapidly in recent years and most people may prefer to choose uv ink because it is so widely used that it can be printed on almost any surfaces. But i’d love to recommend another ink to customers who intend to use wall printer for indoor printing, especially for interior wall printing, that is latex ink.

What is latex ink?

LATEX ink is an ink that can be printed on uncoated media. LATEX ink is based on the colorant substrate of its pigment ink, resin and the formulation of latex additives. It has the advantages that solvent ink can adapt to the versatility of printing media and imaging persistence, as well as the durability of water-based ink to equipment and environmental protection, which is a functional ink representing the future direction of inkjet printing.

Unlike the natural latex exuded by plants and the synthetic latex used to make gloves or other rubber-made items, latex ink is completely safe for those who are allergic to latex.

Printed on the medium, LATEX ink draws upon the feature that the latex component in the ink is heated and melted (heating temperature is 50-60 ℃), and then cooled again to fix the pigment component in the ink on the surface of the medium, so as to achieve printing and color fixation. Unlike UV ink, latex ink does not need to be cured by UV lamp, which is why latex ink prints faster than UV ink.
